When I started to fundraise for missions, I knew God was emphasizing the importance of accountability and headship. I began to pray about a team of women (and their husbands) who I had been walking with and had already spoken into my life so significantly. They all come together in such a distinct way that has empowered me to walk closer towards what God has for me and the women I hope to continue to serve in the area of Maternal Health.

Von and Isabel have served in YWAM for over thirty-five years. Von completed his DTS at King’s Mansion, Kona, Hawaii. Isabel completed her DTS in La Paz, Bolivia. Their service has taken them to over thirty nations, where they lived many years serving in the Muslim world including: Greece, Indonesia, Afghanistan, and Pakistan discipling national believers and creating avenues for disciple
multiplication and community transformation. Von and Isabel have served as leaders and trainers at several YWAM campuses around the globe. Today, Von and Isabel serve at YWAM-Strategic Frontiers (since 1996) in Colorado Springs.

​​Aloha! My name is Erika! I am married to Dan and we have 4 awesome boys! In 2018 we did a Family DTS and have never been the same since! We have been staff at YWAM Kona since 2019. Before coming to YWAM, | was a postpartum/special care nursery nurse and lactation consultant and it was great, but I always just thought of it as my career. After taking this school last year, I truly see maternal health as a calling and I want to see people come to know the Love of God around the world because women who are passionate to serve in this area!

Troy and Corina have been married since March 2019 and both grew up in California. They both serve in the United States Army and with a vision to grow their family, Troy and Corina moved to Tennessee. They have a mission to grow a ministry through their home centered on developing intimacy with God, maximizing healthy lifestyles and living in Truth.

Andrew and Melissa stepped in as temporary pastors during the pandemic while seeing the need for strength and faith during an uncertain time. After their task was completed Melissa felt the Lord call her to be a stay at home mom to raise their children. After prayer, Andrew took a step of faith and agreed it was time. They felt called to be friends to all of God’s children, believers or not, and have been heavily involved in their local community since then. From time to time they will still give specific words to believers “just in time.” Right now they are honoring God in the simple and day to day workings of life while serving where they are called.

Hey there, my name's Makenna and I'm from Dallas, Texas! God has irreversibly captivated my heart for midwifery in missions by revealing His love for the 'least of these', the most vulnerable, the widows and orphans of the global maternal healthcare crisis. After serving on many clinical outreaches and pursuing training as a birth worker, I now staff full-time with LifeBearers, a maternal healthcare ministry through Youth with a Mission. ​
